My awesome friends West and Wendy came to visit me last night. One of the silver linings of staying in the hospital is having my nails done by West. I love telling people when they admire my nails that they were done by a black man from Ghana. They also brought me a yummy burrito from Costa Vida. We made "mixed drinks" like Mango Mtn and Huckleberry Mtn. Dew.
One of the highlights of the night was West sharing his beliefs in God and his faith. My mom, Wendy, West and I had a prayer before they left. West said it. He said some things in Arabic that translated to something about how great and merciful God is.
It's amazing that even though his religion is something completely different from the LDS religion, we share similarities that confirmed that truth is truth. Things like prayer, faith, forgiveness and trust in God are true no matter what religion they come from.
